Covid-19 [and other apocalyptic] Protocols at Organic Bdywrk

As a community, it is imperative to remember that our collective understanding of the COVID19 virus is constantly evolving as new information is collected. Organic Bdywrk will continue to keep track of researched information and how it relates to treatment.

As of August 2022, Organic Bdywrk will no longer require masks while entering the building. Temperature checks will need to be self-assessed prior to your appointment. We understand the distrust, fear, and discord surrounding COVID19 vaccinations and offer a judgement-free zone, regardless of vaccination status. [For full transparency, I am fully-vaccinated as of June 2021, and I will continue to wear a mask during treatment until variants of COVID19 are no longer a global threat.] Sanitation protocols for Organic Bdywrk will never change. This includes intentionally sanitized equipment before AND after each participant, sanitized door knobs as well as the presence of an air purifier in the treatment space. Clean linens, supplies that offer one-time application of lotions/oils, proper handwashing before AND after each participant, and routine sanitation of the treatment space have also always been protocols of Organic Bdwyrk.

Below is a copy of our current COVID Precautions that must be completed prior to every treatment.

By agreeing to receive treatment with Organic Bdywrk, you understand that you are at risk of contracting COVID19 the moment you leave your home to dwell in public spaces and will not hold affiliates of Organic Bdywrk liable in the event of a positive diagnosis.

Your therapist will have a mask on at all times. You will only be allowed into the building as early as 15 mins prior to your scheduled appointment time. The therapist will ensure you are wearing a face mask and verbally ask you COVID19 wellness screening questions regarding the last 24 hrs prior to entering the treatment space. Participants will have the option to remove their face mask during treatment.

If you do not have on a face mask or express COVID-like symptoms, you will be asked to leave the building and will be charged an inconvenience fee similar to the normal cancellation policy. Masks will not be provided, so please be mindful when arriving for your scheduled appointment.

We understand that some health situations prevent folx from wearing a face mask; however, Organic Bdywrk strives to ensure that safety is a top priority for all participants during this time and will not be providing treatment without following CDC COVID19 Guidelines of face coverings in public spaces. We recommend scheduling in-home treatments if you are unable to wear a mask in public.

We treat many immunocompromised individuals who are medically referred to receive treatments; however, for many other participants, massage therapy is not a medical necessity that precedes in priority over preventing the spread of the virus. We ask that all participants answer truthfully and simply reschedule if there is a possible COVID19 exposure out of safety and respect for our therapists and the immunocompromised individuals that we care for.
