Crafternoon Jam: Masking our Range of [e]Motion
We’re creating paper mâché masks to showcase our full range of emotions. We encourage you to draw from a random selection of emotions and create a mask that represents the emotion that’s chosen you, but feel free to pick your own emotion. In between dry-time and painting, we’ll do a bit of yoga to explore our body’s range of motion too.
This month's Crafternoon Jam supply list:
old newspapers/grocery sales papers
painting supplies to paint mask
old milk jugs (size doesn't matter)
yoga mat / outdoor blanket / chair
We provide limited supplies, so please BYOS....upplies, if you have capacity. If not, come join anyways and we'll figure it out.
Enjoy this inconclusive list of emotions curated from the Hoffman Institute

Crafternoon Jam: Plant-astic Terrariums
We’re spring cleaning, and guess what?
It’s time to get rid of some of those jars you’ve been collecting. Y’know, the ones you’ve been saving that you haven’t quite actually used yet, but you just know you need them for s o m e t h i n g. Yea, those. We’re making terrariums using items sourced straight from outside (including trash like old window screens), so no need to overwhelm yourself buying items. Let’s be resourceful together.
It’s also National Stress Awareness Month. Be present to learn how you can actively stay aware of the effects of stress as we speak affirmations of stress-free living into our terrariums.
Here’s a jarring pic of the collection I’ve been hoarding, in case you were wondering.

Crafternoon Jam: Face Plant into Self-Awareness
Spring forward into personal growth by sowing seeds of self-awareness. Come style your own face planters made from milk jugs. We’ll talk ways to facilitate personal growth and how you can prepare to harvest a healthier version of yourself.
To promote recycling within your own community, we kindly ask that you bring the plastic milk jug (any size), and we’ll supply the rest.
Crafternoon Jam: Self-love Rocks !
When asked to list all the people that you love, how long does it take for you to name yourself? So many times we diminish self-love to the luxuries we can provide to ourselves. So often we take ourselves for “granite.” Come paint self-love rocks as we remind ourselves just how much of a gem we truly are.
Space is limited so REGISTRATION is REQUIRED for each individual. Location TBD.
Crafternoon Jam: They Cloned [the Unknown]
Learn how to create your very own 3D scan of yourself, your favorite kicks, or whatever clever with just your cell phone. We will have a presentation on 3D scanning facilitated by a self-taught XR [Extended Reality] extraordinaire. Afterwards, we will have an open discussion on the 2023 Netflix movie They Cloned Tyrone.
**In order to facilitate a safe space for Black folx to have an open discussion, this Crafternoon Jam is reserved only for individuals that identify as Black. Non-Black individuals may register to receive information on how to support safe spaces for the Black community by requesting information under Specific Accommodations.
We will have another Crafternoon Jam in February open to all in the community. More details here.
Crafternoon Jam: Of Love and Luminary
Let’s create luminaries to express our love towards those that lift us up when we are feeling down. This craft is made with intent to be given as a gift to somebody that has brought light into your world. Jars & supplies to decorate the outside of the jars will be provided. All you need to bring is your love, creativity, and whatever you plan to put inside your jar.
Space is limited so REGISTRATION is REQUIRED for each individual.
Crafternoon Jam: 2024 Vision Board & Affirmations
Procrastinators, here’s your last chance. We will be creating Vision Boards and Affirmations just in time for the new year. So grab your favorite beverage, gather your craft supplies, and join us virtually for our very first Crafternoon Jam.

Calling all Resolutionaries !
Whew! What a year, yeh. Before establishing 2024 resolutions, let’s talk 2023. Did you see your 2023 new years resolution(s) thru to the end or did they leave you hanging at the starting line? Let’s self-assess so we can make progress for next year.
Consumerism Common Cents
Holiday gift giving. Feastful gatherings. New years resolution. Cents isn’t common when it comes to consumerism. Let’s discuss what consumerism is, how it affects our daily life, and ways to live sustainably during the holidays.
[H]elping [I]gnorance [V]anish
